The Canadian Payroll Association Conference & Trade Show Was A Blast

The Canadian Payroll Association's 34th Annual Conference and Trade Show in Calgary, Alberta, June 15-18 was a steer-wrangling good time.

The CPA Conference is a premier payroll event that gives attendees the chance to connect with the top leaders in payroll compliance, employment standards and management. The four-day event saw experienced speakers, engaging sessions as well as peer-to-peer networking. Payworks was in attendance, and once again had a fantastic time participating. The Taste of Alberta Snack Break on June 16 was also sponsored by Payworks. Everything was absolutely delicious! We served up meatballs, mini sliders, chicken wings, chicken fingers, fries, and cupcakes for dessert! The Payworks signs were even made out of chocolate. 

Payworks also gave away 10 $50 gift cards to various national restaurant chains and made a matching $50 donation to the winner's charity of choice. Here are a list of the lucky winners, and their charity of choice:

Our grand prize winner received $500 in gift cards! Congratulations to Christine McLellan! Payworks also made a $500 donation to Christine's charity of choice, the YWCA of Calgary. Christine is pictured below with Payworks President, JP Perron.  

On the last day of the conference, Payworks hosted a security and government session with Director, Treasury and Governance, Belinda Carfrae, and Vice President, Information Technology, Kevin Sokolowski. They talked about security tips, strong passwords, information security and governance in the age of cyber threats.  

Overall it was a fantastic four-days to take part in. Payworks is already looking forward to next year's festivities in Niagara Falls! Congratulations again to all of our prize winners and remember to #payitforward.
